1. What is the center of the universe in aristotle model?

Answer:

In Aristotle's (4th Century BC) model of the universe, the sun, the stars and all the planets revolve around the earth. The earth at the center remains unchanged and finite in size throughout eternity. This was also know as the geocentric model.

This model, the objects were as follows: Earth (center) , Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Past Saturn, stars were in a fixed position.

He proposed that the heavens were literally composed of 55 concentric, crystalline spheres to which the celestial objects were attached and which rotated at different velocities (but the angular velocity was constant for a given sphere), with the Earth at the center.

18. Aristotle's Model Ang White's Model

Answer:

The Aristotle’s communication model is revolves around the speaker as the main concept of this theory is that, speaker plays the most important role in communication and it is the only one who holds the responsibility to influence his/her audience through public speaking. It is the speaker’s role to deliver a speech to the audience. The audience is passive, influenced by the speech. This makes the communication process one way, from speaker to receiver.

The speaker must organize and prepare his/her speech beforehand, according to the target audience and situation (occasion).

Even if the model is speaker oriented and focuses on audience interaction in communication, there is no concept of feedbacks.

For instance, a politician (speaker) gives a speech to get votes from the civilians (audience) at the time of election (occasion). The civilians only vote if they are influenced by the things the politician says in his speech so the content must be very impressive to influence the mass and the speaker must design the message very carefully.

The speech must be clear as well as the speaker must have a very good non-verbal communication with the audience like eye contact. This example is a classic case of Aristotle Model of Communication depicting all the elements in the model.

Critical Elements of a Good Communicator

Aristotle has given 3 elements that must be present in a good communicator or public speaker. These elements are related to each other and they reinforce the other elements.

Criticisms of Aristotle’s Model of Communication

20. Why was Aristotle model of the universe accepted by many for a long time even if his ideas were actually not co. Plete

ARISTOTLE

Aristotle is often called the father of the

life sciences. He wrote volumes of works

on many things, including philosophy,

mathematics, logic, and physics. His

greatest work, however, was in the

study of living things. He was the first to

make a large-scale attempt at the

classification of animals and plants.

Although Aristotle was known for a

great number of wonderful advances in

the sciences, he was also responsible for

a great deal of nonsense that hampered

science for many, many years. For example, he believed that the humanity is unique and special and that the Earth is the center of the universe.

These ideas and claims were believed by the people for a very long time. They easily accepted such theories out of revery, because Aristotle is a Godly figure that time, he revolutionized science and discovered many things that makes sense in the older times. Considering the greatest contributions of Aristotle in the field of Science and Mathematics, everyone believed that everything he was saying is nothing but the truth, that he cannot make mistakes and wrong ideas.

This is a great example of how science should not be done. Every scientist, no matter how great, will make mistakes.

Thus, bo scientist's work should be supported because the scientist was great. It should only be supported because the scientific evidence supports it.

Unfortunately, this lesson has not been learned by many of today's scientist. Wrong-headed ideas will survive in science simply because they are championed by respected scientists.

26. the differences and similarities of Aristotle model,Schramm model and white model

Answer:

Yes, Aristotle’s theory of communication is the place to start in communication theory. Aristotle makes the natural first move in his analysis by assuming that communication is from A to B. But he is an astute man and notices that the message from A to B has to run the gauntlet of all the factors which determine the interpretation and the effect of the speech on the ‘audience’, all the psychological stuff, all the associations, all the values, etc. of the listener. All those affect what passes from A to B, that is, what B gets is his/her interpretation of A’s sounds and Aristotle gives a sensible analysis of that problem. He mentions that A is trying to affect the mind of B, to get B to experience the desired psychological event.
