He subsequently entered the realm of Crete, ruled by King Minos.

He has shown courage in his decision on embarking on the flight with his son, as well as a strong sense of fatherly love for his son. He is also oppressed by a villain, in this case, King Minos.

Characteristic of King Minos Ungrateful - King Minos is known for being ungrateful towards those who help him, even the gods. In fact, it is as a result of this ingratitude towards the Gods, which landed him the Minotaur. Due to his unwillingness to sacrifice a white bull and honor Poseidon, King Minos was punished by Athena whereby she made King Minos’ wife fall in love with the white bull. Eventually, the Minotaur was conceived, causing King Minos to make Daedalus build the labyrinth.
